Brendan Eich

Major Academic Achievements:
Brendan earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science at Santa Clara University, and his master's degree at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. One award that they were given was the Ecma Fellow award, due to his leadership in the development of ECMAScript standard.
Contribution to Computer Science:
Brendan is mainly known for creating JavaScript (a new language that was similar to Java) while he was a Netscape employee. He also is a co-founder of the internet company, Mozilla, and was the former CEO. Currently, Brendan is the CEO of Brave Software (company that develops Brave browser). Brendan also co-created Basic Attention Token (BAT).
